the sea green succulent agave
the cacti
silver leafed plants with pink
flowers
Across
the dry dusty track
before the cliff edge
tall yellow flowering cacti
stand erect
beyond
the narrow slow running river
white silver sand shimmers
at the water's edge
the heatwave is punishing
the air is still
dawn is slowly making her way
across the rolling hills
the tide is high
camp chairs abandoned at night
in sea waters way
sway gently as the tide slips by
umbrellas orange and yellow lie
discarded like orange peel
in the narrow tidal flow
Suddenly lightning
Thunder
a storm is approaching
the sea is choppy
rain trickles down for a moment
the storm's brief fury has
passed
abandoned chairs and
umbrellas retrieved
the tide has moved out
to reveal the lines of seaweed
hidden rocks
tracks disappearing forever
lost
and found
