a few sips too much
puppy demanding my lap
gifts of flowers
white roses
another of mixed colours and shapes
could have gone out to lunch
but my room here at home perfect
no more longing for adventure
I will become a tourist in my own home
in my own head
reliving memories is more than enough
reflecting on a life of ups and downs
all to meet this very happy Friday
