Ken Trimble # 22 A crack in time

Theres something broken here
can't been seen
only touched by another's pain

The fall
bound to come

The winter has watched this
melancholia bloom
in the deep darkness

Thankfully no cigarettes
to numb
but wine that's another
story

There's something broken here
hurt, scared, not human
a descent into a cave without
light

The energy to live is tired
the glass has been drained
of its contents

In this house of the past
I often wish I had lost
my keys

or better still
burnt the joint
down.
