Summer Inks, 70cm x 50cm mixed Chinese ink and handmade inks on rice paper

In this work I have used various inks made from flowers available to me in the summer garden, combined with Chinese ink. I've been told that Black Chinese ink is made from soot left after burning wood and I feel it works to give added depth to the lighter nature inks, while still having some connection with plants.
