vertical meadow
everywhere of the view
in the view
it’s all summer says
midge bitten
in a driftwood house
collecting the weather
suspicious looks
though never dirty
some birds will sing all night
fall out of a fjord
and off of this world
not even waking the creature’s deep
a thousand thanks for that
