in no-place space again
for the bug
here I am other end of your day
it's like we've made shiftwork of the world
we sleep through things
but they still happen
I'm upside down to you
you're standing on your head
or someone's
heads and tails
we're just where we've happened
not to say unplanned
you might simply imagine
a fall through the world
perhaps some technical difficulties?
the day indoors is any season
why not moon or Mars?
one day it won't be so far different
it's not the head ever gets round it
still one can be
curled like Jules Verne cosy reading
but no, I'm really here
other-siding, far as you'll go
without stepping off
all the fiction's science now
we should expect that more
how we speak in this magic box
we write with light
each to our own – how could I explain
that to Charles Dickens?
it was hard enough
for mum and dad
soon it will be the rocket goes up
and the world goes round
the rockets drops down
and we're home
I guess we're getting ready for that
myself, I have been through the 'easyjet' queue
with the aching knee
now I am coiled in the can
and ready to spring
I'm strapped into the seat-for-far
ready for take off now
I love this, Kit. We're all mostly coiled in the can. Looking for somewhere else to go.
