Take your storybook genesis

and extrapolate the formless

does you good don’t it now

to take the untenable in tow

heaving meat of a torn cow

inside an incidence of stress

leaving patience to abeyance

then levering out the defiance

making it all that is agreed on

flayed across the carcass where

names are to be prayed over

or the silent bone picked clean

then beaten to its own addition

or stretch the tendon to a bow

an age stretched slow syllable

the intervening of a caress
