Robert Verdon, #17, The Living Water

I am the living water,
said Jesus to the Samaritan
woman at the well,
the air, the storm, the sea,
the little children blowing bubbles,
live through me,
give me a drink:
sounds like you’ve had a few
already, she winked,
and they both laughed;
I have, he admitted,
but after a draught
of what I had,
honest to God,
you’ll never be thirsty again.
