Kit Kelen #1252 - voice I still hear now

1252
voice I still hear now

fainter these last years
smile tells I am known

in all the chatter of distraction
here is a line in which I am joined

nothing meets
Plan A was immortality

having been released
and nothing wrong now

in the moment to remember
memories held in this heart

now gone, though I have seen
that harbour, the horse cart

ship through the heads
the come-and-go of country

in an absence, of praise
everything read at least two ways

life is other sided
we glimpse the pattern here

the words you’d say would choke
there can be no reply

having been released
and nothing wrong now

let the truth be told
someone said to look around me

get the view of where we are
voice harder to hear now

but I still know the tune
