the kitten is trying to come

the dog won't let her
growls around her nethers
small dog same height
like a fraternal twin brother
barks at any meep he hears
from her or in the half-dark
time to book her
at the vets although
she lures in vain
locals spayed the dog guarding
who knows what holes there are
in nets
