bluer than you can say,
this sky 
you couldn’t make this
stuff up 
but you do 
the song comes after us
a certain forested path
swagger lilt 
step into 
inside 
under
over
have a good stretch,
dip
test air
touch water
see daylight through
the crossings out 
find your own way in
the poem 
step in 
and everywhere is there
already 
it is a little woods 
and garden
hum the poem too 
it is bird chimed
dark descends
so solemn sober
sometimes
come to a fence of fire
is it a garden where we
walk?
Have you seen those
hearts grown feeling fat?
trail of crumbs is gone
the stirring thing’s
the breeze
find yourself 
at last 
in your own words 
this is your way now
