I downloaded an app
made to help me
organise
the small things that roll off
my mind like
oranges   behind the heater

it made promises
with smooth edges and flat colours
like the boys of my late teens and I
pressed open

it is the size
of a cathedral  the largest virtual
land mass in existence
 I see now

trawling the majestic
darknet   mouth open
like the bucket
on a grader   filtering all
my mail servers

through the baleen
of his lips he pops in
oh
all the time   to remind me
to get a wriggle on
that facebook things
about to start

and even in the nearness of sleep
he's a planet
I see it there

in the rose gold
slender bed
of the iPad
feeding
