Frances Carleton #77- One Last Mango

tender bruises
tongue flicks flesh
ripe and soft
warmed by the sun
as you open to me

juice stains my chin
fingers sticky
licking lips
to cleanse and taste
you all over again

I’ll revel later
in the memory
of your sweetness
as I pick
tiny hair from my teeth
