Robert Verdon, #316, Nothing to Say

hitch-hiking           into oblivion           on a black highway

          climbing the Stairs of Death

these           are the things           you wake up from in a sweat

they are much easier in real life

the sun           in a three-pointed hat           wolfs down hot buttered corn

I play the sarod badly and retire
