Rob Schackne #454 - Since You Asked (6)

Since You Asked (6)

Ancients and moderns
the Beethoven trios
a bird shits on a fern

tomorrow a helicopter
don't talk to me about time
the scattered vowels of a crow
a dozen dead Marines
can put it together
like Bach partitas
don't talk about trucks
outside the music school

the sound of breaking glass
this is music too
the piano and violin
the synthetics of space
a thousand words & sleep
land me just this once
no one will feel a thing

  1. Wow! What a stunner of a poem - way less than a thousand words and the reader feels every image/line. An absolute beauty Rob.
