1066... (and
all that)
golden and summer now saying
all rise
where rain was
now the sun shines
and all that
glistens
is solid
melts golden into air
at it all night
they were
sailmakers, acrobats
ones who spin to glint
who catch
and I was too
dreamt out of breath
to be beside
in my as-little travels
golden
and summer
now saying
for a moment think
will I believe
as if a world
came lit to me
in gardens
got up round
in all our
here-you-are
for toil
and often
insect's worth
in a cow whiff
duck lift
dawn
with fences
misted of pond edge
forested far
bee loud yet
bewildered of birds
strange scratching
and who's first to words?
like a statue flown
because winged it once
who buzzes in
the screen let?
cut through the noise
to these lines were always here
I found them for a revelation
how blank and full forever
with
watch us
here we come
golden
and summer
now saying
all rise
where the rain was
now a sun shines
