Kristen de Kline #237 Summer nights 2

comets fall from the
sky, black rain beats
on the front windows
will it work this time
an overturned ute wobbles
in the emergency lane
I know you're listening
more rain on the back patio
Friday afternoon in Preston
it's never enough - staying alive
the comma is still missing
the red wheelbarrow
broken, all your words
come out in the wrong
places, out of synch
people collapse
on pavements
little fish flounder, tails
slap against the breeze
will you make love
in the moonlight
six thirty pm, more rain
the temperature drops
I need a cardigan
