KA Rees #68 - Paddock Lovegrass

Paddock Lovegrass
Cluster panicle, glands—yellow sheaths
caught in the underneath, wooded pasture of eucalypts
where cows come and range beneath the gash of sky. Not much
nutritional value in your yellow sheaths, but a little bit of love
is better than some. Flower heads spring to autumn, less
of a to-do with the fingers of Frost than
some other warm lover’s grasp.
