your heart glaring from the screen
don't feed my cat cheese
like I never raised you
and I'm so slighty amused
leaning in
with love
the way you move a full breast
to the angry mouth of a squalling baby
who with one hand
is punching hard it was smart of you
to arrive
covered in guilt at the door
kitten in one hand mate with newborn
peeking out behind you
I threw your flea bag
to the floor
it skittered
ran
the chihuahua
at her heels
baby fresh
his soft chamois head warm
as the shower I never get
fretful anxious me now
spending time
working out what to do about
getting up eating how
to get the money for
another day
here is mist baby head
a powder puff
putting on my makeup
sewing pockets in new places
all of them full of fresh minted coin
the future comes around more often
than you think
you imagine it takes longer
to get the picture
