we are only animals
for
godsbother
orphaned as well
squabble till
wrestle bite tussle
and still
in dream bubble
float
none to notice
twist tickle
wrestle for a dare
some snore
no true to do
but tucker, shelter
sneak up from behind
give chase
puffed
snuggle
have been known to howl and ouch
spread feather for display
take flight or fright
these are examples
there are no ages in us
we never were before
wicked and naked and new we are
everything in the dream ours
in and under skin, a thicket
lovely lost in there
sharpened a stick
told jokes
polished some parts
picked nits
could choke
after a tailchase
hold one’s own
offended, peevish, gruff
we are coming into leaf
we surprise ourselves with flower
shine the sun
must not be still
we are here to heal
