All the mammas are
out
with their cool maxi
dresses
with their fractious
children
they are putting to
sea in the supermarket
on the last day of
the holidays
big shipped and
hoving
they are coming
around
battleships and
cruisers navigating the aisles
weighing anchor
hauling wind
all the midshipmen
and mutineers
have swarmed ashore
prising loose the
sugar shelled
treats reachable as
periwinkles
suckable as gull
eggs
the mammas
are stocking up on
fresh fruit
and sailing for the
heads
Wonderful.
