with a close up lens
with such a shallow
depth of field
making some things so sharp
everything else hazy
as in childhood
if you’re a person with short sight
close up is rewarding
like magnifying glass eyes
take off your glasses
to see
maybe it’s harder to see
the big picture
not being far-sighted
the problem with photography
is that it pulls you away from
freehand drawing
with its seductive colour
and how easy it is to manipulate
in Photoshop
