Susan Hawthorne #33 usdr: camel

our sentences are camels
constructed by committee
they trudge across deserts
panting for water panting
for an ending that will work

always put your camel in
the gerundive clause instructs
the teacher    the camel having
watched the teacher hands
him flowers fruit and books

he got off lightly  it could have
been wrestlers or Rama or Sita
on their way to Jerusalem on a very
troublesome horse this camel is no
usdr    this camel is a tiger of a camel
