a bee's sting,
put aside as an anomaly,
the story smoothed out
then forgotten.
Then after
they come back in a swarm,
the little griefs,
and each sting is felt,
one after the other
long into the night.
The buzzing
is most welcome–
the little pains help
to drown out the big one.
Dear Allison, Nice poem! :)
