We pass
moving fast
a girl in her early
twenties
stands on the
pavement
in a fitted green
cardigan
and a full flowered
skirt
tight
waisted
calf
length
pretty with glasses
and a shiny short
bob
swinging
slightly
forward
as she leans her
weight a little
on her toes
looking up the road
into the oncoming
headlights
waiting
At her feet
is a small furred
curved
C is for cat
unmoving as cats
aren't at night
on
the pavement
on
the edge of a busy road
And that's all
seen in the
headlights as we pass
A pretty girl
carefully dressed
a cat lying
like a caricature
a moving picture
