Gunshots this morning
not a war zone
but a wine zone
vintage time
keep the starlings in the sky
the alternative
are the magpies
territorial
they chase galahs
corollas starlings
all birds
some vineyards train hawks
so territorial
the vineyard here is tiny
so local magpies can patrol it
and in the mornings they sing their songs
I want get back into my painting
struggling
post illness
patience
I tell myself
enjoy today
and vintage
