thanks, Beatrice. This is one of our young resident blue tongues - lives under the house, mostly. My lolling cat would watch it, without ever attacking it, sometimes upside down. They would just keep each other company on the lawn, sun baking. I think my cat was inadvertently protecting the lizard from the wattle birds that have recently attacked it.
