it’s all about threading the needle

that’s how you get a head these days

and the more heads the better

not harder but cleverer

hard is good

but clever could be a lot easier

like, if your camel will not pass

well, breed a smaller camel

or stick a hump on your poodle

cleverness is a lubricant

that stops you from getting caught

lots of people have had a go at this thing

but they haven’t quite made it

if you apply your cleverness

slap it on all over and lather it up

you – might – just – be – able – to – slip – through

where others have got stuck

and as you pass them

turning blue, their torsos jammed

you can check their pulse

take their valuables

but don’t help them out

oh no, no

you wanted to get a head?

well, with that kind of behaviour

you’re going to lose it

you’ll be back with the masses

at net head zero

cleverness loses its slipperiness

if you share it

which means that there’s

a small minority of people

on the far side of that needle

you might not like them

you might get lonely

but hey, you’ve succeeded

so join them
sucking up the seed

spit it back

through the eye of the needle

at the masses

and crow
