Kandinsky's Dünaberg
near Murnau (1913)
ekphrastic
(Monet's haystacks set him off on this career)
all is clear
and angled
such little triumph to the sky
the eye led boldly to the track that's lost
all out in the open
you know that winter was here
rain falls past this
to summer's kiss
intensities of touch
like brush
a cottage you have to imagine
it's spring folds all eyes in
stillness with us here
how's this?
to climb, to roll
to call, to catch
it's all seasons in the tree
it's all the time until
we are away
a long hike on this hillside
south to the Tyrol
a couple kissing under the
forest
you want to hide your eyes and sing
you can't see so far
so far away
no one knew
there could be such light
no
one can see
where we've gone
