People come to visit
when they can be bothered
to traverse
such a difficult
unmended driveway
They see her teeth
turned black
and ask what happened
she answers,"Capitalism,
if you want an honest answer."
When they see her hands
turned brown with dust
and ask her of her
injury
she states, "Patriachy,
and not the drought
we had this summer."
