Kit Kelen #1137 - in plain sight

1137
in plain sight

I decided to hide a word in a poem
a life in the crowd
a letter in the book

I hid a bolt among the thunderheads
hid a single wave in the sea
I hid a cry in wilderness

hid
frog in a pond
a body on a battlefield
name in a wall
I hid an ache in old bones
I hid the bones in stone

there was one world I hid around a sun
never in the same spot twice
a reverie where I was woken

early on I hid a foot in my mouth
later found it was mine
a worm hid in my ear

I hid a curse in the congratulations
storm in a sky
far stars in time

hid
cave in the treasure
the picture in the place
hid a face in the feeling
I hid a song in the tune

I had a destiny for fate
and truth in its tautology
though I was pressed
yet managed to
I had my life
in days, in years

all this was in the Land of Ish
I lingered in the ping pong shade

this was the mirrored garden
where I first mis-saw

things have an order
we fall to them

well camouflaged

my skin in love and I’d come too

I hid the anniversary
deep in calendar dark

hid hearts in our eternity
no one will know us there
