Claine Keily #1 In her dead aquarium

She told me
not to talk to strangers
and she a stranger herself

And when I speak
pressing my lips to the glass
of the dead aquarium she lives in
I begin to stink like a fish
waterless

    1. Hi Efi, it is good to be contributing again. I have missed the interactions with you and the other poets here. Thanks to all for the feedback. I was unsure about the poem, but I did speak the truth of the situation so I hope that came through. I feel a bit out of practice at the moment after not writing for many months x

    1. Thanks so much for your feedback Sarah. It is hard to write a poem about not being able to communicate with the one woman I feel I should be most able to!

  5. Love it Claine but I have to say I feel the lines 'a mother / otherworld' are unnecessary.

  6. I was wondering about that. I did not want the poem to be too obscure. I will take them out.
