Rob Schackne #299 - "Down the beach"
Down the beach
blinking seagulls
like property magnates
scream a language
I don't understand
could it be true
capitalist
it's thrown away
this tongue has
no translation
and the conflicts
come in series
of awful swings
no through road
except for dreams
you don't answer
we speak like fish
every poem that's lost
Wonderful lines!

DeleteWow - totally afree with James - some fantastic lines and wonderful images - love the play with language - the seagulls speaking a language you don't understand & the 'we' who speak like fish/every poem that's lost. Thought aren't there almost a thousand hiding in a box or drawer?!
