Greetings 365 +1! Robbie Coburn and I are very excited to be here. We will generally be posting on alternate days, using our time on the blog to collaborate on a series of 'call and response' poems. To kick things off we have "Calvary", an original poem by Robbie, plus my response, "Our Land of Sorrows", a poem I 'found' within his.
Calvary (Robbie Coburn)
I can map the length of my history. watching the clear liquid shrink itself before beginning to pool in the base of the glass. If I stare into it long enough the images can fracture replace what once again eases back across my tongue.
Our Land of Sorrows (Michele Seminara) History is beginning to pool upon itself. The length of my stare is long enough to fracture. Again the map of my tongue shrinks back to its base. Again, the glass is clear.
