Bronwyn Rodden #10 Journey to Ink

Lost Trees, 110cm x 50cm Watercolour on Arches Paper

As a volunteer bush regenerator I am especially aware of the loss of habitat for wildlife. I was feeling sad about tree felling in some nearby state forests and wanted to have these lost trees immortalised somehow. I love the translucency of watercolour, and I think it adds to the fragility of the atmosphere of this painting.

  1. Oh these vivid bones - delicate and tragic simultaneously. Stunning watercolour, design.

  2. Bones, yes, as you see in paddocks at times, tree and animal.
