Carolyn van Langenberg -#15- horse

Carolyn van Langenberg - #15- horse ... the horse, its head over the fence, nuzzles my hand. I look into thickly fringed eyes, look into a calm curiosity about the person whose hand is sweet enough to lick. Onions and garlic, banana, yoghurt, honey, bread..., buttery fingers with hints of mint and lavender... She is young, gives warmth over the fence, knows my kitchen friendship. Will I return to find her waiting? Her dark purple, almost black, eyes express a soft mood. Her silence trusts the moment, expecting nothing other than a fleeting encounter. Even a few minutes honours the sharing the giving companionship, the silent exchange.
