Katherine Stuart Song (of a Scottish nature) #18

I would sing you a song
and howl it from hills
feeling the breath in me
rumbling still

I would sing you a song
for all the sheer life of it
rolling off tongue
wherein the divine sits

Here is the screech of it
folding the reach of it
flapping the hands of it
Stilling the keen of it

  1. Oh, Katherine, I can hear Fiona Apple singing the final stanza (in the way she performs her brilliant theme for the series 'The Affair').

  3. Thank you both - I like the last stanza best too.
