The
Flower of Intention
It’s the blossom in the tree
today five-pointed fuzzy
star waving
sunrise in
the fruitless flower on
a nameless tree stood
outside some
nine years time enough
to grieve leap
unintended gorges
dodge the stray
bullets
life lets fly
in seasons
telling decades
give or take
a blow
strung out
like beads
the blossoms whirl along the current
breeze prophecy
of bloom
beautiful
ReplyDeleteIt is the tree outside my bedroom Efi. It really got me there today. xx
Deletea v fine rhythm here

maybe this is an ideal length for a series maintaining a similar balance of abstract and concrete
grief and leap !!
not a bad title for a collection
(or a firm of solicitors)?
I am getting out on my four wheels each day. This means I then sleep for hours but it makes better words. ANd thank you Kit.
DeleteKerri, this is a wonderful poem. Such a rich conflation of the elemental and the emotional. I love the little pun at the end (prophesy of bloom!).
ReplyDeleteMagdalena this is wonderful and means a lot coming from you, I love your work. Thank you.
