Richard Tipping - Everlasting Stone #10 - Imagination is No More Important

Imagination is No More Important, 1991/2016. Granite, engraved text, goldleaf.
Dimensions: H 32.5 x W 45  x D 3 cm, on base H 3 x W 49 x D 11 cm. Private collection, Sydney.

Albert Einstein, quoted in an interview in What Life Means to Einstein (1929), said: "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution."
In this sculpture the NO interferes, balancing the books. Another NO sits by the signature: a double negative?

“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein.
