Kerri Shying R # 110 Gone in the Hips

Gone in the hips

hips don’t lie
mine tell a bitter truth
 the human incongruity

good soup bones
they’d be
strong round forms

 the flimsy engineering
of the straps
and ties beneath

pinging like knicker elastic
now

 bed
and not the fun bed
is the belonging place

for me

  1. you can't replace hips
    like you can ships
    may yours always
    support you
    and remain safely in port

  2. Love the soup bone and pinging knicker elastic images Kerri - and the insights to a chronic condition. Wishing you a better day.
