Lizards will soon recover their stateliness says Lizz
spring is their stately time
solemn in their moving
each foot measures
the suns spanning by the millimetre
decorous in their thoughts
and very proper in their manners
but once the heat inflates them
fizzes in their blood
and sends it frothing to their little bobbing heads
they will run in indecent fleet
clinging all upended
or in unseemly sneaking
gazing through giddying windows
swivelling their ogles
lick licking their lips
Very fine, Mikaela!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Also very stately.
