29.4.16 (#119) raindrops by Myron Lysenko

another yellow leaf falls
on my head

  1. Very vivid experience, familiar experience. I am originally from a place with a lot of rain, and rain is always a motif in my poems, too. This one haiku speaks to me well. Beautiful.

  2. Thank you, Lei Man Lok. We haven't had all that much rain in the last seven years where I live in central Victoria. And that may be the reason why this haiku is more about the decaying leaf rather than the raindrops.

Thank you so much for your comments. I have been obsessed with haiku for two decades now.
