Karen Kun’s Translation #8 - from Kerri Shying R’s “suffocate the knowledge”

窒息知識

我的狗出去了

對著外面
空吠
我站在那裡
一隻手
仍在布上擦乾
聽見
夜晚

回到自己的
黑暗

小雨
冷冷打在臂上

貓可能在想
那群沒文化的傻冒
今年
北移得有點早

轉身走
隔壁的狗

在門廊
一隻

單獨的猴子

suffocate the knowledge

my dog goes out

barking to my nobody
there      I stand
still   one hand drying
on a cloth    I  hear
the night

pinging back the dark
in me


small rain
cold on my arms
see

I point out the cat    think
maybe the bogongs
 coming north a
little soon

this year

turn and go
next door’s dog
barks   and there’s
me

a monkey

on the porch
 alone
