Kit Kelen #100 - mist

100
mist

go out walking first thing
mist in among

birds are secret to it
hear them

the river misted
and the posts sunk in

the dew sat thick
in waist high grass

continuous with mist
you're always coming through it

light clears around the figure
as if observation were an aura

as if the step-after-step
were light

see it drift across a paddock
curls to the edges

somewhere unseen
a road roars through

headlights like leftover night
mist is all in

it's in your pants and under hat
it's mist between the ears, mist-heart

stand in it
no one will see

it's the same for every tree
of a certain distance

something's high up in it
an unseen bird tries different voices

a ventriloquist's mist
of lost horizons

that's a hat for the whole world
makes a view closer

keep walking
peer in for the lines

a somewhere-sun
must draw

  1. I like the images in the order they appear.

  2. beautiful. Like the sense of disembodiment together with the sense of the mist's body in the landscape. And the Shed of Apollo, great! :)
