Susan Hawthorne #106 red seed

rain hits the roof like missiles
wind stirs the trees to dance

a drongo passes my window
flicking rain drops from feathers

yesterday the sea raged
like prancing horses on the waves

penda are in bloom bright yellow
bunches on the stems

wind has dropped black-stemmed
umbrella tree branches

with its tiny red seeds
in clusters

  1. I enjoyed this little blast of weather (first tree I ever bought)
