Age spots appear

as constellations

and varicose veins

moles grow like mould

and urine has a tendency

to leak out – the pink ribs

pick their way through skin

like fish bones or the tines

of a fork and the blood

doesn’t like to circulate much

anymore and gets lost

on the return journey
