The Everlasting Stone is a series of minimal poems in granite or marble, made between 1976 and 2016. These have been exhibited in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, London and New York. Examples are in collections including the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.
I'm distracted by the 'moving accident' - it might be the poet in me imagining the tears. And somehow so apt that day break was broken...Very much enjoyed thinking all these thoughts! Thanks Richard.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the riff Lucy - yes I was thinking of the accident during moving being (to me at least) moving as irreversible loss of 'the thing itself', leaving the photograph as the work
