Richard Tipping - Everlasting Stone #5 - Now Here

Another 'minimal poem', one of Everlasting Stone series made between 1976 and 2016 in granite, marble, wood or glass. Nowhere - Now Here is (or was?) a red granite slab, with engraved text finished with goldleaf. This was included in my first solo exhibition at the Adelaide Festival Centre Gallery in 1978. Now there is only this black and white photograph. Possibly the sculpture is still somewhere in Adelaide. Dimensions (guessing) H 50 x W 40  x D 10 cm. In the 1970s I was taking a lot of photos - including this - with an Olympus OM1 camera. This photograph ceases to be simple documentation and becomes the work itself.
