oxynorm
there are no
footsteps    singing
to the sourness of
ground
below these  flung-up  high rise
bobcats    eating out   what dignity
remains   the older  life caught
whisps  in trees in fences
hoot owls
out by the scrub  can’t break
the fourth wall   short circuits
slap away the hand
of my history    this
story of the land  don’t leave
any of us here
