I live in a poetry world
when I trim the branches
to fit the green bin
with well-oiled secateurs
I remember line-endings
and the foliage that
needn't be there
and in the kitchen
I wash the grill
line by line
smoothing them all
all the food washed
right off -
essential lines left
following in a frame
what is it the teabag
says at the base
of the cup? and
that Mongolian scene
on the wall - what poet
lives in that yurt? and
does it roundness
influence her? does she
also live in a poetry world?
I love this one, Andrew. Everything alive.
